The Monier Group, the world's leading pitched roof systems specialist, plans to capitalise on the green technology trend in the Asia Pacific, while supporting Malaysia's Green Building Index (GBI) initiative.
The chief executive officer of Monier Asia Pacific, Benoit Hennaut said in line with the government's call for green technology to ensure sustainable development, the company has innovated the Energy Efficient Roofing Solutions (E3).
He also said Monier chose Malaysia, as it has a lot of low-rise houses that match its roofing products, while the market is matured.
"We felt it was very important to share our expertise in roof physics, in working together with architects, to set up the right principles for the future in terms of roofing energy efficiency and its different functions," says Hennaut.
